Maybe it’s just me, but sometimes I don’t feel like praying. Isn’t that bad for me to say? Prayer is such a beautiful experience. To be humble before God and spend intimate time with Him is irreplaceable and completely necessary. Yet, I’m here admitting that sometimes I don’t feel like praying.
Sometimes There is too Much Stuff to Do
Sometimes there is just too much work to do, and I don’t feel as if I can do both. Lessons need planning. Dinner needs cooking. The house needs cleaning. Life is messy. I don’t feel like I have time to pray when so much needs to be done.
Then I’m reminded of someone else who had so much to do. She was busy. She was so busy preparing for Jesus that she didn’t have time to pause and be with Jesus. In the busyness of life, she neglected to slow down and spend time with her Savior. Dare I say we all have a little bit of Martha in us? We all get in a hurry. We all get too busy. We sometimes don’t feel like being still with God because we don’t think we have the time. But today God wants all of us to remember a few simple things:
