“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Colossians 2:10

Lacking Satisfaction

Everyday we encounter people who are not fulfilled in their own minds. For some reason or another, they are lacking satisfaction. They may have had aspirations that never came to fruition. It may be that their spousal relationships are lacking the fervor of love. Whatever the case, many are empty and do not know how to be filled. Like broken water pots with water running right out through the bottom, these dear ones continue to drink in all that they think will satisfy, but it all runs out and they are left dry and vacant.

Jesus Brings Absolute Satisfaction

When we are living in a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, we become nourished, refreshed, living beings. No longer do we wander about empty, searching for fulfillment. Jesus is more than enough. “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Colossians 2:10. The term complete used in this text comes from a Greek word meaning to make replete or to cram. It is a wonderful thought that those who love Jesus are replete with Him. It is wonderful to know that those who love Jesus are crammed with Him.

“For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” Colossians 2:9. To be full of Jesus is to be replete with God. I am so happy that God is willing to fill me up to the rim with Himself. When God fills us, there is no room for anything else. When He fills us, our needs are more than supplied. When God fills us, we finally experience contentment. “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37, 38.

Since Jesus brings absolute satisfaction and fulfillment, let us imbibe as much of Him as possible, and share this satisfaction with others.
